hope you guys are savoring the last morsels of thanksgiving.
my thanksgiving dinner was so-so /: i kinda wanted pie and other american traditional foodstuffs [harhar] in the meal, 'cus it was mostly asian seafood at a place called "ban4 xi1." we had salt and pepper lobster, steamed fish, stir-fried basil and clams, and more. deffff costly. and not too good): but you know, thanksgiving dinners are about being with the entire family right? although having yummies helps too (:
to diverge from the topic of food [insert groaning noises],
i munched my way through two dazzling books this weekend [no, i'm not trying to imply anything about sparkling vampires]. fahrenheit 451 & angela's ashes!
- the former was so thought-provoking because it reminds me so much of our world today, it's creepy. ray bradbury and his gorgeous diction never fails to impress me. in an afterword he claims that "digression is the soul of wit... take them out and winter would reign in every page." i love that concept.
- as for the latter, it was tear-jerking; it's no wonder it won the author the pulitzer prize. my eyes were literally gushing waterfalls onto the pages. poor soaked book [hyperbole]. i'm too lazy to give it a full review because i am now moving on to digest ... The Kite Runner !
p/s; i still remember writing that failed letter to Khaled Hosseini, angela(;
