The Thanksgiving weekend has been filled with friends, family, fun, and an endless amount of food.
I bet the pilgrims and Native Americans would have been appalled by the excessive consumption of food these past few days.

Wednesday afternoon - Sharon and I went to Pavillion's for lunch! It was really sad; the service was good, but the sandwich was kind of eh. There were artichokes in it. -_- We then proceeded to circle the entire plaza to buy Mrs. Person's Christmas present. Haha, it was so much fun. We went to all these random stores, including this clothing store for elderly people, and the storekeeper + customers were giving us uninviting glares. We landed in CVS where we finally purchased her not-so-costly present (that's an understatement), and we celebrated at Peet's where the server was kind enough to explain what exactly each item on the menu was. The complex coffee names are so confusing! Sharon got this chocolate drink, and I think I got some type of coffee?

At night, I totally forgot to call Shannon about not being able to go bowling (sorry sorry sorry). We had a pre-Thanksgiving potluck at church. There was an endless amount of Chinese food and a lot of fruits and pumpkin pie. Eunice helped me rekindle my love for Dong Gua Ca (wintermelon tea?). There was a nice show put on by the different cell groups and fellowships... the adults really went all-out. To give you a picture, there were three dads who went up dressed as Batman, Superman, and Spiderman, and their respective wives went up and did this whole choreographed dance. Haha :p

Thanksgiving was great! Charlene and Faith's family came over as did Christopher and Sheldon's. And later, Pollyanna's family and Genevieve's family also came. We ate for about four hours straight. Yeah, frightening. Just kidding, we played Hide-and-Seek, Mofia, Sardines, etc. in-between, but yeahhhh. We're probably going to be eating the leftovers for the next two weeks or so because the adults apparently overestimated our stomach capacity and thought we were extreme gluttons or something (although they aren't TOO far off.) After our stuffing fest... which ended at around 11:30 PM, we went to Kylie's room and slept on her bed. And as we "slept" (we kind of made the guys sleep on the ground), the parents kept talking and talking and talking - I wonder how their mouths don't get tired. Anyway, it was a great Thanksgiving, just like every other year, and I thank God for that.

Friday. Spent most of the time at home doing homework and practicing piano. Went biking for a while. At night, we went over to Elaine and Steven's house for another "Thanksgiving" dinner. More Chinese food, with the exception of curry... I think that's Indian. The little kids played Wii for soooo long. I got bored of watching them scream at each other, so I read The Alchemist (really good book... so far) and ended up falling asleep. But hm, it was pretty nice.

Today I slept in for so long... I think I woke up at around 9:30. Too bad, I haven't been very productive, and I still have an Anchor essay to edit (not just little edits either - huge, major corrections) and other horrible things. I finished my Even Day homework, though, and wrote a really crappy article for the Howler. Speaking of which, the next issue is coming out soon - which means Deadline (which is thankfully after the Anchor is due) and Distribution (waking up at 6:45... not so pleasant) are also coming up.

We went shopping in the afternoon at South Coast Plaza. Normally, I don't love the process of shopping. It's fun when I don't really need anything, but I had to buy winter clothes, and shoving sweaters and jackets up and down my head is tiring. But this time, it was pretty cool. The stores had good prices, too. And it helped that the mall was decorated with glittering Christmas decorations.

Tomorrow is church! And the day after that is school. x 3 more weeks. And then, finally, at long last, winter break.
