Today was pretty good. In history, we didn't finish Matewan which means we will waste more class time of next week watching it... like, I don't get the point of why we're watching it. It's a good movie and all, but we're not going to actually change our concrete details NOW. I know my Anchor sucks, but I still wouldn't make such a major change.
Speech/Debate. I got my ballots and got pissed off at my judge who judged David and me in my first LD round (the guy who interrupted my AC (affirmative constructive) AND 2AR (second affirmative rebuttal)). Wow, yeah... it was better not knowing.
Math. I know I screwed up, but hopefully, I didn't screw up more than I think did.
I hung out with Annie until 3:30 when I followed Mock Trial people to the courtroom for the journalism contest. Rode in Nina's car with Nina, Grace Kim, Jasmine, Kevin Kim, and Lemiece... it was a very squished ride.
Anyway, I have to give major props to everyone on the blue team! Dang, you guys were fantastic. I loved Aditya's closing argument and rebuttal speech - how does he manage to churn up all of that great stuff from the top of his head? GRACE, you were so good as an attorney, too!
Foothill was a lot better than I expected. They were actually really, really good. The prosecuting attorney was great at his closing, too.
Awesome trial - it's a little hard to piece it into words. I was incredibly impressed. Hopefully, if Jennifer (news editor) consents, I could squeeze in an article on Mock Trial for the next issue.
I have 24 hrs to write my contest piece. Ack. Wish me luck...
